From Our Farm To Your Table: Slow Cooker Arm Roast Done Right
There’s just something about a slow cooked roast simmering all day that feels like home. 🤎 We used one of our Primal Acres arm roasts for dinner tonight and it turned out absolutely incredible. Kevin kept it simple and let the quality of the beef speak for itself — and honestly, that’s the best part about locally raised meat. You don’t need to do much to make it amazing. He added the roast to the crockpot with: • 1 cup beef stock • 1 cup red wine • Root vegetables • Fresh thyme, sage, and rosemary • Seasonings to taste Then let it cook low and slow for about 9 hours until it was perfectly tender and falling apart. Today was the perfect day even though it is the end of May, because the weather was rainy, cozy and cool. Perfect crock pot weather! The smell in the house all day was unreal. Cozy, rich, comforting… the kind of meal that reminds you to slow down and gather around the table a little longer. This is exactly why we care so much about supporting local farms and knowing where our food comes from. Real food raised with care just tastes different. If you’ve never tried a good arm roast in the crockpot before, let this be your sign. Especially when we head into the cooler evenings again, or, a rainy day in June — this is one of those simple meals that feels like a hug. Erin – Primal Acres 🌿
